1 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
Heat oven to 325 degrees. In medium bowl cream butter and 1/2 cup confectioners sugar until fluffy. Stir in vanilla and flour till well blended. Chill 30 minutes or until firm. Shape into 1" balls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes or until very light brown. Cool slightly. While still warm, put cookies into a bowl of conf. sugar; rolling gently. Pick out with fork used spatula-style.Gently tap fork to get rid of too much sugar-or not! Finish cooling. Store airtight in cool, dry place.
